As per the reports, the lab testing of these samples have proved that close to 30 per cent of adulteration was found in most of the drinkable liquids. What’s more, of the total samples taken, eight were taken from the state capital of which maximum have been found not fit for drinking. Health department’s Shudh Ke Liye Yuddh campaign is proving ineffective against adulteration in the state after out of 385 beverage samples taken by officials in the past one year, 120 have been found either adulterated or substandard.These samples were taken from various business points across the state. The department officials randomly took the samples from grocery stores, restaurants, ice cream parlours and from the manufacturing units across Rajasthan.
Of the total 385 samples taken for testing, reports have stated that 120 samples were completely unfit for drinking but were being served to the residents here. These also include some renowned beverage brands. However, names of these brands have yet not been known.
As per the reports, the lab testing of these samples have proved that close to 30 per cent of adulteration was found in most of the drinkable liquids.

This eye opening fact has taken the health department by storm as the information has been rendered by a Rajasthan leader during his answer in the Assembly.
These drinks were being openly sold in the market and were also consumed by many who fell ill. The health department officials have kept mum on the episode.
